JOIN ‘THE BEAT’ PROECT!

Macedon Ranges Producer & Musical Director Shaun Evans is staging a bold and innovative immersive music event in ROMSEY & KYNETON in May.

The ensemble — called the Orkestra Llektriq is a modern concept Orchestra combining traditional sections of the Orchestra (Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion) with a Rock Rhythm section, Vocal Section and Electronic Musician / DJ.

The May show — THE BEAT will trace the history and development of The Beat and music from the Big Bang to the Internet age. Using narrative video, lights, visuals and special effects the show will bring the audience on a musical journey that will leave them breathless!

We have an opportunity for LOCAL YOUNG MUSICIANS (Year 5 / Age 10 and older) to be a part of our SCORING ORCHESTRA, directed by composer Macleod Suntesic-Elliot. Macleod will be composing the underscore to accompany the documentary / series pilot that will be filmed during the development and performance of The Beat in Romsey & Kyneton.

The opportunity is open to musicians on any instrument. Musicians will be involved in rehearsals, recording sessions and perform as a support act at the two The Beat evening shows in May. Musicians will be required to submit a short video showing their preferred style of music. Please note that all participants will be required to read notation / TAB and / or chord charts.
